Private Education & Tutoring During The COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic
No in person tutoring should occur until further notice. All tutoring should move to online video conference facilities. We are very experienced at providing remote tutoring via online portals. We have been providing tutoring during the COVID-19 outbreak to families across the globe since January 2020. Please contact us to see how we can help you and your family during this period.

Private Tuition for Exams

One to one private tuition
Private tuition is the most effective and flexible way to ensure your child does the best they possibly can in any upcoming entrance or standardised exam. Whether you have an exam in a few weeks, or months away, our tutors will create a specialised program of preparation and revision that takes into account the student's individual strengths and weaknesses. Starting with a diagnostic session, your tutor will incorporate past papers, study skills, supplement exam-style questions, and progress updates to ensure the student is supported and on track to achieve their best. Our tutors are able to cover all school-based exams, as well as university entrance exams and beyond.

UK School Exams

We have tutors who specialise in Common Entrance, GCSE, A Level, MYP, IB, and Pre U exam tuition. As well as having sat these exams themselves, many of our tutors hold teaching positions at top schools around the UK, and are fully up to date with the current demands of the curricula and expectations of secondary schools and universities. We will pair your child with someone whose own academic background complements their goals. Having someone on hand to guide them through the material, provide structured revision timelines, and inspire them to overcome difficulties is the best way to give your child every opportunity to achieve their highest possible results. See our individual pages for more details on each exam:

USA School Exams

The ISEE and SSAT are required for application to independent US secondary schools. They are usually the first standardised test a child will sit, and the process can be daunting and unfamiliar. Our tutors have been helping students prepare for these exams over a decade, and we have tailored our approach to create a highly rigorous and effective process. We have an impressive track record with getting children into their top choice junior school and high school, and many of our students have gone on to excel at SAT, off the strong foundation established around these early exams. Read more about the differences between the ISEE and SSAT, and get further advice by booking a consultation with one of our US tutors.
Group classes

The SAT I and ACT assesses reading, writing and mathematical skills, and unlike subject exams, is not explicitly taught in schools. All students applying to US colleges, whether from international or US schools, will need to take the SAT or ACT exams. We provide a bespoke service, often assigning different tutors for each sub-section of exam, with a strong focus on exam technique as well as content. We are particularly adept at supporting international students who have no prior experience of the exam, and have tutors who specialise in the linguistic section of the exam. Read more about preparing for the SAT, and differences between SAT and ACT here.

The SAT II consists of subject-specific exams, mostly closely aligned with the Advanced Placement (AP) exams taken in the final years of high school. These are designed to test knowledge in a specific area, such as Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, US History, Spanish and English Literature. The content differs from the UK syllabus, and we recommend giving yourself as much time as possible to prepare content and become familiar with the format. The broad academic backgrounds of our tutors means we will be able to match you with someone who is perfect for your specific needs – and if we do not already have someone, we will do our best to find them! Please get in touch about AP and SAT II tutoring, and we can discuss how best to help you and your family in the final years of high school.

Beyond School Exams

With our select team of Oxbridge and Ivy League applications consultants, we have every base covered for university entrance exams. We aim to pair our students with someone who has been through the same exam process as themselves, whose personal insights can give your child the edge that highly competitive exams demand. Having a dedicated personal tutor to provide support suited specifically to the student's interests and needs makes all the difference when moving from a good A Level student to an exceptional university or college candidate. We also have a cohort of tutors who specialise in job interviews, strategy consulting and finance applications. We also have tutors who can support medical school applications, OSCEs, and medical school admissions tests. Do get in touch to discuss how we can help with your specific needs!
