My Tutoring & Teaching Experience

University Consultant, Arch Education (2016-present) Tutor, Wentworth Tutors (2018-present)

My Approach to Tutoring

My approach to tutoring is to encourage students to think in a distinctive and original way. I find that students are often taught at school to cover the central points and hoop-jump, whereas university entrance and study requires much more creative thinking. I work with students to construct interesting and effective arguments. I also try to align my tutoring with students’ natural interests. A student that is naturally interested in the subject at hand will be significantly more motivated and more likely to achieve their objectives.

Fun Facts About Me

I am a keen sportsman, having played squash, rugby, football, cricket and rowing at university. On less physically demanding occasions, I also enjoy playing darts. I am passionate about music, and was a saxophonist and clarinettist in jazz bands and orchestras at school.
