I am a London School of Economics (LSE) graduate, where I completed a BSc in Mathematics with Economics in 2014. Since then, I have worked in the aerospace and renewable energy sectors both in the UK and Denmark. As of September 2020, I will begin my PGCE Secondary Mathematics with QTS in North London.

I have 4 years of tutoring experience, including 1 year of online tuition. I enjoy teaching students of different age groups and ability levels as I always tailor my teaching to each student.

My Education & Qualifications

    Mathematics with Economics (BSc):

My Tutoring & Teaching Experience

I began teaching when I was 15 where I started a drama club at my local Persian language school. I would write plays in both English and Farsi and create games and ice-breakers for the younger students to become comfortable performing on stage. Since graduating from University, I have helped friends who are studying the ACCA and CFA with their basic mathematics knowledge, and have over 200 hours of secondary school maths tuition experience.

My Approach to Tutoring

My approach to tutoring has always been to focus on improving confidence. I have worked with students who struggle with a subject, and I have found that the majority of the time this is due to lack of self confidence rather than ability. I believe that only if you have the right level of self belief are you able to achieve your best and truly enjoy learning the subject you are studying.

I always have a good rapport with my students in order to understand their strengths, weaknesses and interests in order to teach them in the most effective way. Our lessons are always fun, productive and efficient.

Fun Facts About Me

I am writing a comedy-drama screenplay and pre-lockdown I was an improvisation and stand up comedian. My favourite gig was at The Comedy Pub in Central London - people actually laughed! I also had a podcast and radio show at Northwick Park Hospital for 3 years.

Aside from this, I am learning Spanish and read at least one novel a week.

Since, Ladan started teaching her, my daughter’s confidence in maths have grown leaps and bounds and she is doing very well in her class. Ladan is very professional and personable. My daughter really likes her and has a very good rapport with her. She makes learning easy and fun. After every lesson, Ladan sends me a feedback which is very constructive and helpful. She is a wonderful teacher, who has a real ability of dealing with children. We have had to sometimes reschedule lessons and Ladan has been very flexible and most of the time, she has accommodated our requests. I highly recommend her to anyone."
  • GCSE Maths
"Ladan Sadjadi has been my daughter’s GCSE maths tutor in throughout Year 11. My daughter has always struggled with maths and we had used tutors before, without really making any difference to her confidence or her results. Ladan immediately established a rapport with my daughter and very quickly her belief in her own ability began to improve, and consequently her test results were much better than they ever had been. Ladan taught my daughter on line via Skype twice a week, kept her engaged and interested and was always very reliable, giving us plenty of notice if lessons needed to be re scheduled and being flexible when we had other commitments. I highly recommend Ladan and she made a real difference to my daughter in her study of Maths."
