My Tutoring & Teaching Experience
I first became interested in teaching when I was a teaching assistant at a primary school during my final year at school. From then on I wanted to continue. I regularly tutor friends and family to help with Oxbridge Applications and A level humanities subjects.
My Approach to Tutoring
My teaching style is tailored to the needs of whomever I'm teaching because I believe that everyone learns best at their own pace. For those students who struggle, I will help them break down the subject into easily understandable principles. This fosters a strong base in the discipline from which they can improve. For stronger students I will challenge them to push their understanding of the subject further and to think outside the box with their answers. I believe that people learn best when they are enthused about their subject; I want to help students enjoy their work so that they can perform to the very best of their ability.
Fun Facts About Me
I have sung at a semi-professional and professional level since I was a child. I spent 4 years singing with the internationally renowned choir of Clare College, Cambridge with whom I extensively toured across the United States, Europe and Asia and recorded 9 disks, regularly featuring as a soloist. I also am a keen amateur actor and sportsman.
