My Education & Qualifications
University of Oxford, 2011 – 2015
Literae Humaniores (Classics) (BA): 1st
School: St Paul's School
I attended one of the top independent schools in the country, attaining both Junior and Senior Academic Scholarships, 3 A*s and 1 A at A level, and 12 A*s at GCSE. I was also captain of the School 1st XI cricket team (which I represented for 4 years) and played for the 1st XI football team.
My Tutoring & Teaching Experience
I have spent the past year tutoring students for Latin and Ancient Greek A levels, whilst studying for my GDL law qualification.
My Approach to Tutoring
My methodology is focused around encouraging my students to think creatively in order to solve any problems they encounter. I feel that rote-learning equips students poorly to tackle the challenges presented by their exams and is detrimental to intellectual development in general. I am happy working with students of all abilities, and tailor my approach on the basis of how much guidance each student requires.
Fun Facts About Me
I am a keen sportsman who has played First Class cricket for Oxford University and Oxford MCCU, and football for my school and university college 1st XIs. I also play tennis and squash recreationally. I also have Grade 8 clarinet and Grade 6 piano.
